Chappelle (12/2007): This is not good for people who are not experience in doing open mikes. Do a few before you try it?
Anonymous (8/2007): You might want to doublecheck, but today their website says to note delayed start times for: 2/5/07 signup 8:30, performance 9; and 2/12/07 signup 8, performance 9.
Katherine Rhoda (1/2007): GET. THERE. EARLY. They've changed the signup time to 6:30pm. I got there at 5:10, and there were already 8 people in a line that grew to have easily 20-25 people in it. If the slots run out, you may get picked to play in place of a no-show or something, someone who signs up but isn't there when it's time. Great host, great sound, great vibe, great food, and some of the best iced tea you'll find.
Anonymous (1/2007): THE place to be seen in the city of philadelphia. Period. Because of the number of musicians, one song is the norm per artist. Bruce does an amazing job of keeping it all running smoothly and keeping it all so entertaining. The room and sound system is perfect for an acoustic setting. The crowd is appreciative and the food is awesome. Try the key lime pie. Signups are at 5:30pm. Hard to do from any sort of distance but well worth the trip. If you have to do one open mic, this is the one to do.
