It looks like a nice set up, unfortunately I was a FOOL and called the bar to ask when sign up was… I arrived a half hour earlier than the 9pm she reported and ended up a leetle too late to sign up. However, from watching the host and hanging around for a while it seemed like a nice enough place. Tight quarters means that bringing your own band probably wouldn't work but there WAS a kit set up already. The PA sounded really muffled and the host didn't seem too enthusiastic, but the audience was so that makes up for a lot. Long sets of "at least" 4-5 songs. Of course it meant that showing up at 8.20pm and having the first 7 slots filled meant a projected wait of… 4+ hours? Something around there. I'd like to go back, get there earlier and bring some friends to sample those thick juicy burgers.

Hi my name is quency carmon. I am a local artist out of Elkridge Maryland looking to do an open mic presentation. My group is called the Dreamteam. We have just finished our album with kmh- recording studios. I would like to know what kind of music that you guys are intrested in for open mics. our music is about our past all the way up to our present.

No, the mostly Bluegrass comment is not out of date. Great musicians, but mostly Bluegrass.
