I always have a good time at Ryan's Daughter. Last week dave let us play more tunes because not that many people signed up, so well, logically there is more time. This is actually quite a common occurence in this situation.
Anonymous (9/2006): Well i visited this place on Wednesday september 13th 2006. I had a few friends tell me about it and went there looking to play a couple tunes and have a good time. Well all i can say is you better arrive early! The guy running it seemed like he wanted to be home playing video games or something not hosting an open mike. He had a piece of crap pa with some cheapo mike… I mean it was bad… And worst of all he committed the worst crime of all open mike hosts by letting the performers play as many tunes as they wanted… Nice if you wanna sit thru "froggy went a courtin'" and the like for 5-7 tunes… This is a great room with lot's of folks who were having drinks and enjoying themselves but when one performer sits there for 5 or more tunes the place empties out… Hello ryans daughter! Get a new host! Preferably one with a decent pa… I'll go back only if there is a new guy running the open mike…
