Best unknown open mic night in Atlanta, and possibly the best period. Microscopic venue means you are up-close and personal with the performers. Unbelievable sound system, even though the place is small enough not to need one. The performers are not limited to the teen and 20-somethings; some of the regulars have been professional singer-songwriters for decades. You owe it to yourself to check the place out, and you might just fall in love.
Tom W (7/2008): Not only is Ragamuffin one of only a few open mic venues worth attending in Atlanta, it's also the perfect performing environment.
Louis Robinson (4/2008): This venue is basically a small store building where the owner gives music lessons, but it has a nice professional sound system. Players don't play and leave like they do at many open mics, but mostly stay for the whole show, so you have a good, attentive, supportive audience. I enjoyed this open mic, but my butt didn't like having to sit the whole time in a folding chair.
Anonymous (1/2008): Acoustic venue with a grand piano ready for your use! Great group of local songwriters make this their regular home. Come experience this warm, intimate venue.
