Can someone provide me with a quick rundown on the format of this open mic? I'm a drummer who enjoys attending open mics and playing with a variety of musicians and playing a variety of styles. Is this more of a full band type of open mic or are individual players grouped together through a sign-up sheet?- Michael von Rinteln (12/2007)
- There is a drum kit, bass, electric guitars, and a small PA w/monitors. Full bands play, as well as individuals, and many times it turns into a pick-up band of whoever happens to be hangin' out… very open playing enviornment, & I've heard everything from traditional Irish to country to full on old school punk to experimental funk-jazz jams. Lots of fun!

- I played at the Garryowen Pub on the Nov 7th open mic with a bass that Doc provided. I was visiting my parents from out of town and had a great time despite being really tired.

- Totally New and Improved!!!! The guys from Noteworthy Music recently tweaked the PA system. The new owner is super supportive of live music. Doc is the host, and it sometimes runs until 2 a.m. Also, many an impromptu jam session happens during the weeknights.
